It is officially developed by Apple. You can download it from Google Play Store.

This app will let you transfer your contacts, message history, free apps, photos/videos, bookmarks, mail accounts and calendar data. Apple team has also incorporated a private Wi-Fi functionality in this app, which ensures secured data transfer between two devices.

For this, you will need to install the aforementioned app on your Android phone. So, go ahead and get this app now.

Switch to iPhone Guide

Note – Move to iOS app has received low ratings on Google Play Store due to inconsistent performance and incompatibility issues. Do try out some of the following alternate methods if you encounter any such problems with the app.

Google Contacts

Similar to above process, you can use your Google Account to import and export contact details from one smartphone to other.

This is one of the simplest ways to perform the data transfer between two devices, as there is absolutely no need to download and install any app on your phone.

You just have to back-up the data and save it on the preferred Google Account. This will do the trick and you will be able to see all contacts on your brand new iPhone.

In case you’re still confused, have a look at the detailed guide below –

Things to follow on an Android phone:

  1. Open ‘Settings’ app.
  2. Go to Accounts and Sync.

These two steps will help you sync your phone contacts with linked Google Account.

Things to follow on iPhone:

1. Open ‘Settings’ app and select ‘Contacts’.

2. Select ‘Accounts’ from the available options.

3. In Accounts, you will see multiple email accounts as displayed below. Select your preferred Google Account.

If you haven’t added your account yet, please select Add Account option and follow the instructions.

4. Enable ‘Contacts’ and other required features to transfer information from your Google Account.

Done. Now, all your important contacts should be available on iPhone. You can edit or delete them if you want.

Tip – If you wish to erase these synced contacts from iPhone, just disable the ‘Contacts’ option from same mail account as shown above.

VCF File Method

This is another helpful method for those who are trying iOS platform for the first time.

For this method, you need some basic knowledge of exporting data to the computer. If you’re not sure about it, check the phone’s manual or visit the official website for detailed information.

Alright, now that you’re ready to transfer Android contacts to iPhone, here’s a quick guide for you –

  1. Export the .VCF file to your PC or Mac.
  2. Create an email with this .VCF file as an attachment and send it to your email id.
  3. Open this email on your iPhone and select the attachment file.
  4. Save all contacts to iPhone, which will be copied to the Phone app.

Finally, check and verify the contact details in the Phone app and edit them accordingly.

SIM Contacts Transfer

If you’re really fortunate and have compatible SIM card on the old Android device, you can save this hassle of downloading apps and importing/exporting data between both the devices.

Generally, Android phones allow you to save contacts on the phone or SIM. When you want to perform SIM contacts transfer method, do save them on SIM card. This will help you acquire all phone contacts on iPhone.

Steps to follow on iPhone:

  1. Once you’ve inserted old SIM card in iPhone, go to ‘Settings’ app.
  2. Tap on the ‘Contacts’ option.
  3. Select ‘Import SIM Contacts’ and save them to any email account.

Again, follow the same steps of verification and see whether you’ve got your contacts or not.

Third Party Apps

This should be your last option!

Why? Well, it’s not safe to give access to third-party apps. You’ll never know how your data/contacts will be used or shared for inappropriate activities.

Some of these apps are also very complicated for novice users, so use them as per your understanding and don’t get confused. You can find several such apps on the internet for both Android and iPhone platforms.

Anyway, all these methods should work for most of the Android devices and iPhones. If not, just drop a comment below. I’ll get back to you with some quick fix for sure.
